Many years ago, during the early Third Age, Cytrix the deity of trickery, freedom, and shady business created a plane called The Path on which the moon shines (also referred to “Moonpath” or “Moon Alley”) to impress and delight Ysra It takes the shape of endless twisting and shifting back alleys, where people are free to setup shop and sell all kinds of things, though one must beware of thieves and other shady and criminal folks.
It can be accessed from many places in the world, mostly from within cities, but you will leave at the same place where you enter, so it cannot be used for travel. The layout of the back allies is ever twisting and you will enter in a random spot, so it is hard to find something specific or use it to exchange information. The one exception to this are followers of Cytrix who have an innate knack to finding their way in the Moonpath. With the Moonpath being everywhere but also not quite and also leading to different places but to the same place, it is inherently bending the rules as to how planes work more than other planes. As such its outer shell is much weaker than those of other planes, making it easier for [[creatures:Aberrant:|aberrations] to slip through the membrane around it. These Aberrations manifest as humanoid creatures (at first seeming to be normal people) that are strange and twisted, often tentacled, and present one of the larger dangers in the Moonpath if one finds oneself off the beaten path.
