After the rest of the dragons left for Eludan the Gleaming Ones were alone on Attiamel. From there they decided to watch Eludan and become patrons to the mortals, not interfering but guiding and lending strength. There is one Gleaming One per Skymetal, which are named after them.

A dragon of huge proportions, Adaman is often seen as the leader of the Gleaming Ones by mortals, even though she would disagree.

Djez was created the first wyrm, a physical deformity meant she had no back legs or wings. She taught herself magic to let her fly, in the process becoming the first magic user after Ashta.
