The Field of Scythes describes an area in western Alranle of approximately 50 by 30 kilometers.
It was the site of one of the most devastating battles of the Fallwar, getting its name from the gigantic scythe wielded by the manifestation of Oi'Tovon, which it used to cut down enemy armies.
It is a hazardous area to this day, the fallout of the battle leaving lingering magic that will act in unpredictable ways and leads to the area being populated by Monstrosities of all sorts.

Despite its name not all of the field of Scythes can be described as a field. The battlefield proper is an area of about 15 by 5 kilometers and is comprised mostly of a rocky wasteland. The surrounding area is a woodland. To the west it reaches into the foothills of the Rautar Range.
